As the former VP/Director at PetSmart and Mervyns/Target Evelia utilized her business and leadership skills to transform businesses and develop high-performing teams that delivered industry-leading sales and margin growth. Her leadership roles at PetSmart included VP for Dog & Cat Consumables, VP for Specialty, and Director of Dog Consumables. Her leadership roles at Mervyns/Target included Divisional Merchandise Manager for Home, Director Planning & Allocation for Kids, and Director Planning & Allocation for Intimate Apparel, Jewelry & Accessories.
Evelia has successfully leveraged market and customer insights to develop and execute national, and proprietary brand assortments developed marketing strategies to meet customer needs, led teams through a variety of market and organizational changes, developed internal and external collaborative partnerships, and negotiated vendor funding to support business needs. Evelia is acquiring her Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) at Grand Canyon University and has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS), Business Administration and Management from, University of California, Berkeley. Her strengths and accomplishments will add to Simpactfuls capabilities.
