Building upon its commitment to serve clients through practitioners from both the Brand and Retail sides of the desk, Simpactful names Neal Dellett to the position of Senior Partner, effective November 1st. The move builds upon July’s announcement naming Lindsay McShane and Mike Tolkowsky as Senior Partners, enhancing the firm’s capabilities across Retail Supply Chain Network and Revenue Growth Management, also referred to as SRM or NRM.
In the newly appointed role, Dellett will lead Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence, and partner with McShane to build the Simpactful End-to-End Supply Chain practice.
Dellett developed a deep expertise in End-to-End Supply Chain Management and Continuous Improvement during a 28-year career at Procter & Gamble, where he was widely held as the company’s Supply Network Global Expert on Continuous Improvement practices and was qualified at the highest level of Integrated Work Systems methodologies. He has coached over 200 Process Improvement, Problem Solving and Value Stream teams across the company, leveraging his deep expertise in the Toyota Production System methods, High-Performance Work Systems and Total Quality. In addition, Dellett demonstrated an ability to connect with Supply Chain teams using his diverse on-the-job experience across the entire supply chain, from manufacturing plant operations to the retailer store shelf. While at P&G, Dellett held roles from Plant Operations Leader to Walmart Customer Team Supply Chain Director with leadership roles across Food & Beverage, Paper, Beauty, Grooming, and Home Care. For the past 5 years, Dellett has used these skills to help Simpactful clients achieve Supply Chain excellence all with glowing feedback.
This appointment reflects Simpactful’s enhanced focus on helping clients optimize Supply Chain results considering evolving business conditions. Brands are required to have agile and effective Supply Chain teams that can navigate supply disruptions and deliver against ever-increasing Retailer and DTC omnichannel requirements.
As Dellett sees it, “I joined Simpactful because I was drawn to the practitioner model and outstanding culture. Over time, I have seen the firm continue to invest in high caliber Brand and Retailer experts and am excited to continue to build out the Supply Chain team. Today, the members of this practice area have very diverse work experiences that cover the entire Supply Chain. While some of our skill sets overlap, the majority are complimentary. When we receive a client need that requires a skill set doesn’t exist within Simpactful, we can reach out to our network and pull that talent into the project. We have experts who have worked across key Supply Chain areas from Supply Network Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Distribution/Logistics, Retail Supply Operations, eCommerce Logistics and Store Execution/On-Shelf Availability.”
David Friedler, President & Managing Partner at Simpactful, is excited to welcome Neal to the partnership. “Our clients are tackling challenges and opportunities more than ever before with their Supply Chains stemming from unprecedented supply disruptions, the Omnichannel, and retailer fines & fees. Neal is adept in both sustainably solving challenges and building organizational capability. For example, he has been able to save millions for our clients this year by helping to identify the root causes of Retailer fines, fees, and chargebacks, delivering at least an $8:1 ROI on the projects.”
Chairperson, Jessica Hall, is equally excited by the new addition to the Partner team. “One of Simpactul’s points of difference is offering solutions using perspective from both sides of the desk. Neal’s Walmart experience in Supply Networks furthers our ability to do this. The requests for help keep coming and we continue to bring in the right experts to offer help.”
