Simpactful Expands Brand Strategy & Innovation Expertise with the Addition of Jennifer James

Simpactful is pleased to welcome Jennifer James as our newest Senior Consultant, further strengthening our firm’s capabilities across brand strategy, innovation, consumer insight, and growth planning. Jennifer brings more than two decades of experience helping brands unlock their full potential through a rare blend of strategic rigor, research fluency, and innovation leadership. Her background aligns seamlessly with Simpactful’s “both sides of the desk” model – blending deep Procter & Gamble experience with ten years of successful client consulting across categories ranging from Beauty and Food – to Soft Goods and Durables.

Jennifer’s career spans disruptive innovation, ventures, sustaining innovation, and both global and regional brand management – making her one of the most versatile and well-rounded strategic thinkers in her field. Her early work helped build and position some of the world’s most recognizable brands, while her later roles focused on shaping P&G’s Ventures portfolio – as well as Beauty upstream innovation – using the combination of landscaping, “jobs to be done,” opportunity sizing and iterative design to derisk and strengthen new product development.

Over the past 3 years, Jennifer has used her versatility to help Simpactful clients address some of their most pressing challenges, including brand restages, channel and geographic expansion, brand architecture evolution, and the reinvention of innovation systems. She has also supported clients in identifying and sizing whitespace opportunities – ensuring strategic decisions are anchored in both consumer needs and commercial realities. Her strategic leadership is matched by her strong analytical acumen and insights expertise – whether leveraging AI-assisted synthetic consumer research and multi-lens landscaping, facilitating qualitative learning – or applying advanced quantitative methods such as conjoint and forecasting models.

Jennifer is a proud graduate of The University of Texas and now resides in Cincinnati with her husband, Jim, and their three children.
